On May 19, 2026, our world changed.
My daughter, Molly, is just 29 years old. She's a devoted wife, a loving mother to a precious 4-year-old little boy, and someone who has always faced life with kindness, strength, and a beautiful smile. That day, she received news no young mother should ever have to hear: she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
The shock was overwhelming. The questions were endless. The fear was real.
But if there's one thing I know about Molly, it's that she refuses to let fear have the final word.
Since her diagnosis, she has faced every appointment, every difficult conversation, and every decision with remarkable faith, courage, and optimism. She has spent countless hours researching, learning, and advocating for herself. After much prayer and consideration, we determined that KU Medical Center in Kansas City would provide the best path forward for her treatment.
We are incredibly grateful that Molly has health insurance, but as many families facing cancer quickly learn, insurance doesn't cover everything. There will be travel expenses, gas, hotel stays, meals, and other costs that come with receiving specialized treatment away from home.
As her mother, I want to help carry some of that burden. I don't want Molly and her husband worrying about finances while they are fighting for her health and focusing on their family.
To help support them, I created a special design, and in partnership with Creator Designs, we are offering short-sleeve tees, long-sleeve tees, sweatshirts (adult and youth sizes), and ball caps as a fundraiser for their sweet family.
