Lyric has been living with a brachial plexus injury, and over the past four months she has been in significant, unrelenting pain. After multiple appointments and imaging studies, we learned on January 5th that an MRI from October revealed a large mass we were never notified about. That same day, she was evaluated at Children’s Hospital, where we were told the mass is cancerous. The surgeon explained that it appears consistent with a sarcoma, though the exact diagnosis will not be known until biopsy results are complete. What is most concerning is how rapidly the mass has grown, and Lyric may begin chemotherapy and radiation as early as next week.

This has been a heavy and overwhelming time for her and for our family as we navigate next steps and wait for answers. We appreciate the continued thoughts, prayers, and support as we move forward.
